My Pilates journey began with a “yes” to an invitation from friends in Santa Barbara. I had never stepped onto a reformer machine before, and the sight of it, the mirrors, and the small class was intimidating. But within minutes, the instructor’s calm confidence put me at ease.


Then came the shake. My muscles trembled in ways I’d never experienced and I was embarrassed at first until I looked around and saw everyone else shaking, too. It wasn’t weakness; it was strength being built in real time. I walked out feeling transformed. My joints felt better and my body stronger.


When I returned home to Utah County, I couldn’t find anything like it. There were fantastic traditional Pilates studios, but nothing that offered that same intense, athletic, high-energy experience. I knew that this method needed a home here in Provo—a space for people to push past limits, discover their power, and experience movement that truly transforms how they feel in their bodies.


My passion for movement was born of personal and shared health challenges. High Intensity Pilates is the one workout that meets us where we are–whether recovering, rebuilding, or striving for peak performance.
